Collaborative Divorce Coaching is a process that helps couples, who have decided to end their relationship, to sever their marital bonds amicably and avoid going to court. The main goal is to resolve conflicts in a way that is in the best interest of everyone in the family and thus to preserve the relationships for the post-divorce period.
As a divorce coach, I work in collaboration with attorneys to help parents identify their own needs and goals and the needs of their children. In addition, I work to enhance the communication skills of the parents and help them manage the stress and emotions that so often arise during a divorce.
In the role of a child specialist, I am able to assess and advocate for the children's needs and communicate those needs to both parents.
Together, in collaboration with a team of professionals, we work towards creating a parenting plan that is acceptable to everyone and in the best interest of the children.
